Terms of Service

By accessing or using Trailmonger, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Use of the Service

Trailmonger provides mapping, planning, route, and related outdoor information tools. You may use the service only in compliance with applicable law and these terms.

Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating or maintaining an account.

Who May Use Trailmonger

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the service. If you are under 18, you may use Trailmonger only with the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf. We may ask you to confirm your age, and we will close any account we learn belongs to a child under 13. Trailmonger is not directed to children, and our app store listings are rated accordingly.

Subscriptions and Payments

• Trailmonger Pro is sold as a subscription through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe on the web. Prices are shown before you buy and may change with notice.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel at any time in your app store subscription settings or, for web purchases, from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
• Refunds for app store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. For web purchases, contact us and we will follow applicable consumer law.
• Free trials and promotional pricing convert to the standard price at the end of the stated period unless cancelled first.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activity.
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the platform or infrastructure.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or misuse data beyond permitted use.
• Upload content that violates law or the rights of others.

Safety Features and Search and Rescue

Live location sharing, emergency contacts, and the SOS tools are aids, not a rescue service. They depend on your device, its battery, and network or satellite coverage, none of which we control, and they may fail when you need them. Always carry a dedicated emergency device where conditions warrant it.

By using Trailmonger you agree that, in the circumstances described in our Privacy Policy, we may share your most recent known location, recent recorded routes, and emergency contact details with public-safety agencies or organized search-and-rescue teams. We verify requests, share only what is needed to find you, and keep a record of each release. We are not responsible for the actions of responders once information is shared.

Your Content and Data

You keep ownership of the routes, waypoints, photos, notes, and other content you create. You grant Trailmonger a licence to store, display, and process that content to operate the service, and to share it with the people you choose to share it with. If you make content public, you grant other users a licence to view it within the service.

You also agree that we may create de-identified, aggregated statistics from activity data, and that we may share or sell those aggregates only as described in the Privacy Policy and only where you have opted in. Aggregates never identify you and never include health data. You can withdraw from future datasets at any time in the app.

Unless you turn it off, the paths of the activities you record also contribute to the community heatmap, a map layer that shows everyone who uses Trailmonger where people go. The heatmap combines many people's activities and never shows who went where or when. You can stop contributing at any time with the heatmap setting in the app, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Outdoor and Navigation Disclaimer

Trailmonger is provided as an informational and planning tool only. Conditions change rapidly outdoors, and maps, routes, terrain, weather, and other overlays may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for your own safety, judgment, and preparedness.

Intellectual Property

Trailmonger and its related branding, software, and content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party data and map sources remain subject to their respective terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for the service, or where necessary for legal, operational, or security reasons.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trailmonger will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the service.

Assignment and Business Transfers

You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else. Trailmonger may assign these terms, and transfer your account and data, to a successor in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, including to an outdoor retailer or brand. The Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled in that event, and we will notify you before any material change in how it is used.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
