Where public survey data exists: NOAA electronic charts for coastal water and the Great Lakes, and Michigan DNR surveys for inland lakes there. It is not nationwide lake bathymetry, and depths are not for navigation.

Does it show fishing regulations?

Why a fishing map has to work offline

Good water is usually down a canyon or at the end of a forest road, and the question at the pull-out is always the same: is this bank public, and where is the next way down? The rivers layer comes from the USGS National Hydrography Dataset, and with public-land boundaries on the same downloaded map you can see which reaches run through forest or BLM ground and which cross private land.

Some fishing data is live by nature. Stream flow is a reading from a USGS gauge and needs a connection to refresh, so check it at the truck and let the offline map do the rest. Water depth comes from NOAA charts and Michigan DNR lake surveys — it covers coasts, the Great Lakes and surveyed inland lakes rather than every pond, and it is compiled from public survey data, not for navigation.
