Hunt units and public land are free. Property lines and landowner names are Pro. All of it downloads by state and works with no signal — and every parcel shows when its record was imported, so you know how old the line you’re trusting is.
Why a hunting map has to work offline
The places worth hunting are the places without towers. A boundary you can only see with signal is no use at the fence line, which is where the question “am I still legal?” actually gets asked. Downloaded packs carry the public-land boundaries and, with Pro, the parcel layer, so the line and your position are both on screen in airplane mode.
Parcels cover 45 states, with landowner names in 27 of them. They are built from state and county open records rather than licensed from a reseller, which is why coverage is uneven and why we publish it: each state’s source and import date is listed on the data freshness page, and the date rides along on every parcel in the app. A property line is a record, not a survey — treat it as where to start asking, not as permission.
You do not need Pro to check one property. Search an address and its boundary, acreage and county assessor link are free; the browsable layer and owner names are what Pro adds.

- Do property lines work offline?
- Yes, with Pro. The parcel layer downloads into offline packs alongside trails and public land, and each parcel keeps its import date offline too. Crop & Cover and historic imagery stream from their sources and need signal.
- Which states have landowner names?
- Parcels ship in 45 states and owner names in 27. Owner names appear only where the state or county publishes them as open data; elsewhere the parcel card links to the county assessor instead.
- Are hunt units free?
- Yes. Hunt units and every public-land layer are in the free tier. Unit boundaries show where a unit is, not whether you may hunt there — seasons, tags and access rules come from the state agency, which each state page links to.
