The app asks for an account on first launch. That is what carries your waypoints, tracks, and Pro between your phone, your watch, and the web — get a new phone and everything syncs back down.
Download the area you are going to
Pick a region on the map and save it before you leave the house. Offline packs are free and unlimited, so there is no reason to be stingy — download the whole state.
Prove it works before you need it
Put the phone in airplane mode at home and pan around. Full vector detail with no signal is the entire point; you want to find that out on the couch, not at the trailhead.
Requirements & good to know
Trailmonger needs iOS or iPadOS 16.4+ or Android 8.0+. The app download itself is small; the space that matters is whatever you choose to save offline, and you can delete a region any time. Trailmonger is built for the United States only — no international clutter. Questions about accuracy, subscriptions, or billing are answered in the FAQ, and support is a real person on email.
